The food is typically less nutritionally valuable compared to other foods and dishes. While any meal with low preparation time can be considered fast food, typically the term refers to food sold in a restaurant or store with preheated or precooked ingredients, and served to the customer in a packaged form for take-out/take-away.

  • hamburger

A thin piece of beef covered in breadcrumbs and cooked in hot fat

  • french fries

Long thin pieces of potato that has been cooked in hot oil

  • pizza

  • ice cream

A frozen sweet food made of milk, cream, and sugar, with fruit, nuts, chocolate etc sometimes added to it

  • salad

A mixture of raw vegetables, especially lettuce, cucumber, and tomato

  • sushi

A Japanese dish that consists of small cakes of cooked rice served with raw fish

  • cheese

A solid food made from milk, which is usually yellow or white in colour, and can be soft or hard

  • cola

A brown sweet soft drink, or a bottle, can, or glass of this drink

  • pasta

An Italian food made from flour, eggs, and water and cut into various shapes, usually eaten with a sauce

  • pancake

A thin flat round cake made from flour, milk, and eggs, that has been cooked in a flat pan and is eaten hot

  • bread

A type of food made from flour and water that is mixed together and then baked

  • yogurt

A thick liquid food that tastes slightly sour and is made from milk, or an amount of this food

  • butter

A solid yellow food made from milk or cream that you spread on bread or use in cooking

  • bacon

Salted or smoked meat from the back or sides of a pig, often served in narrow thin pieces
